CMAL announce recycling plan for MV Juno

After consultation with the Scottish Government and CalMac Ferries Ltd, Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL), has determined that their vessel, MV Juno, will be sent for recycling in accordance with the UK ship recycling strategy.

CMAL invites Stornoway residents to hear proposals for Stornoway-Ullapool ferry route

Following an assessment of ferry provision on the Stornoway-Ullapool route, Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL), along with colleagues in CalMac Ferries and Scottish Government, will be holding an event on 16 March 2011 for Lewis and Harris residents to hear more about future plans for the Stornoway-Ullapool ferry service.

CMAL announce updates on Port Ellen Pier Reconstruction

Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) is delighted to announce that the contract for the reconstruction of Port Ellen pier has been awarded to McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd (McL&H). The reconstruction will replace the existing pier which is reaching the end of its serviceable life. The new pier has been designed to provide improved berthing facilities and will accommodate the new vessel MV FINLAGGAN, which is due to commence on the Islay route in spring 2011.
