Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change, Stewart Stevenson has commended key partners for their involvement in the Small Ferries Project. This is a unique study which was set up to establish the best ways to design, build and procure a replacement fleet of small ferries, to deliver lifeline ferry services for remote communities off the Scottish and Irish coastlines.

Port Ellen and Kennacraig Port developments updates - presentation from public meetings

Public meetings were held at Ramsay Hall, Port Ellen on 9th Aug 2010, and Templar Art & Leisure Centre, Tarbert on 10th Aug 2010 to update the public on the progress of improvements to Port Ellen and Kennacraig harbours. The meetings included an update on technical progress, ongoing and recently completed works, and project programmes and budgets.
