Brodick Terminal Redevelopment – Ground Investigation

As part of the Brodick Ferry Terminal Redevelopment project Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) awarded the contract for Ground Investigation to Structural Soils Ltd. The majority of the investigation works will be undertaken from a “jack-up” barge positioned at various locations in Brodick bay.

NTM 27/14 Kennacraig Ferry Terminal, West Loch Tarbert Permanent Establishment of Special Marks

Mariners are advised that following completion of Phase 2 upgrade works at Kennacraig Ferry Terminal, West Loch Tarbert, the two lit special mark buoys which had temporarily indicated the seaward boundary of the rock revetment bordering the extended marshalling area situated south of the pier are now permanently established and have been granted statutory sanction.

CMAL appoints new chief executive

Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) has announced the appointment of their new Chief Executive Officer, Tom Docherty. Tom, who is a marine engineer, has held a number of senior management positions within the maritime industry and will take over from former CEO, Guy Platten, in April.
