Works at Craignure Passenger Gangway

Works continue to install a replacement passenger gangway at Craignure Pier. It is anticipated that the new gangway will be available for passenger use from Monday 25th April, subject to good progress over the next few days. The volume of work undertaken in a short time has been considerable & our contractors are committed to having the new gangway available for passenger use as soon as possible. Thanks to all for their continued patience in this matter and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

CMAL invites Ullapool residents to hear proposals for Ullapool – Stornoway ferry route

Following an assessment of ferry provision on the Ullapool – Stornoway route, Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL), along with colleagues from CalMac Ferries and Scottish Government, will be holding an event on 20th April at 6.30pm, for local residents to hear more about potential future options for the Ullapool – Stornoway ferry service.

Kennacraig Terminal Upgrade Phase - Progress - April 2011

Construction of the berthing dolphin at Kennacraig has progressed well in the last month. Graham Construction have now completed all the concreting works to the main structure and following a period of curing for the concrete, they will start attaching the fenders, bollards, copes, ladders and lights.

MV Finlaggan completes sea trials in Gdansk

Following the launch of the MV FINLAGGAN in Gdansk last summer, the vessel has now been fitted out and recently undertook an extensive six day sea trial programme ahead of her arrival in the UK in May.

CMAL to tender for finance for vessel options on Stornoway-Ullapool route

Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) today announced plans to seek proposals for funding terms in the form of lease options from banks and other financial institutions, in order to finance the procurement of replacement shipping for the Stornoway-Ullapool ferry route.
