CMAL’s new online payment system for Harbour Dues at its piers and harbours throughout the West Coast of Scotland has gone live. This means berthing and composite charges can now be paid in advance with a variety of season tickets available. The online system at www.cmassets.co.uk is to help facilitate a new pricing structure for pier and berthing dues which will apply to all CMAL facilities from 1st April 2009.

Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd is to carry out a refurbishment of the existing linkspan at Port Ellen later this month. The work will get underway in the next couple of weeks as CalMac (CFL) will already be operating a reduced service during February due to a vessel refit.

Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL) is to hold a public meeting to keep islanders up to date with the proposed Brodick Ferry Terminal Repair Works. The works to the pier and linkspan area, due to begin in March, are essential to safely maintain the ongoing use of the ferry terminal.

CMAL have published the Executive Summaries of the Business Cases prepared for infrastructure improvements at Port Ellen and Kennacraig. The final business cases will be presented to the Scottish Government for consideration in the near future. Detailed design work is continuing for both projects and the process for Harbour Revision Orders will begin shortly.
