In continuation of NTM 28/12, mariners are advised of an update to the pier reconstruction and harbour improvement works at Port Ellen Ferry Terminal, Islay.

From Thursday 14 June 2012, CalMac Ferries Ltd will be conducting berthing trials at the port and by arrangement a cargo vessel will berth at the pier on Monday 18 June to deliver grain for the island’s whisky industry.

All mariners are reminded that with the exception of these two ships the pier remains closed to all other vessels.
