Mariners are advised that due to inclement weather conditions the dive project survey of Wemyss Bay Pier has now been extended by one additional day.

During the evenings of Tuesday 17th and Wednesday 18th April 2012, Atkins Ltd will be onsite to supervise Clyde Commercial Diving Ltd who will be conducting a survey of the pier pilings. Each day the works will commence after the last sailing of the day at 1945hrs and shall be complete by 0645hrs the next morning thereby avoiding interruption to the scheduled ferry services.

This operation will be undertaken from a work boat, utilising divers where necessary however, as the operational working areas where diving activities are being undertaken will predominantly be beneath the pier structure it is likely that dive site marking lights displayed on the work boat will at times be obscured to mariners.

Therefore any vessels navigating in the vicinity of the terminal should do so with care and maintain a lookout for the abovementioned work boat, regulating their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
