Mariners are advised that CMAL have appointed Arch Henderson as consultant to undertake a structural survey of Largs Pier.

On Wednesday 18th April 2012, Arch Henderson will be onsite to supervise Clyde Commercial Diving Ltd who will be using divers to conduct a structural survey of the south side of the pier. The dive project will commence about 1000hrs and be complete by 1400hrs and during this time the south side of the pier will be closed to all vessels.

Operational working areas where diving activities are being undertaken will at all times be appropriately marked utilising Flag A “Diving Operations”. Divers will enter the water from the pier.

Any vessels navigating in the vicinity of the terminal should do so with care and maintain a lookout when Flag A is displayed, regulating their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
