Mariners are advised that CMAL have appointed BAM Nuttall Ltd to carry out pier repair works to the quay walls at Gourock Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde.

The repair works will commence on Monday 12th September 2011 and are programmed to be complete by mid March 2012.

The works consist primarily of steel sheet pile repairs and concrete repairs to the quay walls and will be predominantly undertaken by divers accessing the water from the quay edge. There will be sections of berth that the contract will have a full possession of and these will be appropriately marked at all times.

Due to the operational nature of the ferry terminal, the works will be undertaken on both day shifts and night shifts throughout the duration of the project.
