Further to NTM 01/10, mariners are advised that Graham Construction are continuing to undertake pier upgrade works at Kennacraig for Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL).

The pier upgrade works taking place in West Loch Tarbert, in the vicinity of the Ferry Terminal at Kennacraig, are due to be complete during July 2011.

The South berth is now open and as a consequence the North berth is now closed to all vessels whilst remedial works are conducted.

A new Aid to Navigation (A4266.4) has been established on a dolphin in position:

  • 005 29.090W

Light consists of 2 Fixed Green Vertical lights on a silver metal post with a range of 3 nautical miles. Elevation is 8m above MHWS.

The Contractor may be working both day and night shifts. The working area, barge and workboat will be appropriately marked/lit at all times.

Mariners are advised to navigate with slow speed and with caution in the area of the works.
