The berthing dolphin at Kennacraig was completed and successfully opened for use during the last week of April 2011. Graham Construction also completed all of the marine works to the south berth of the pier, which allowed the ferry services to revert to this berth and use the linkspan.

Following completion of the south berth, Grahams took possession of the north berth of the pier to remove temporary works and undertake all necessary upgrades to this berth. It is expected that all the marine works on the project will be finish during June. All ferry services will continue to use the south berth of the pier until the north berth works are complete.

In terms of the land based aspects of the project, the majority of the works to increase the car parking areas have been completed, with a great number of new spaces created. Grahams are currently working on installing the lighting around the terminal, before completing the fuel and drainage upgrades.

It is envisaged that all works on the project will be complete by the end of July 2011.

At present Grahams are not undertaking any works as nightshifts, however they may need to do occasional nightshifts to finish the works.
