CMAL are pleased to announce that the new berthing dolphin at Kennacraig was opened for operation on Wednesday 27th April 2011.  

As well as the dolphin being opened, the south berth and linkspan were also re-opened in time for the evening sailing from Port Askaig to Kennacraig.  The south berth will now revert to the main operational berth and Graham Construction have taken possession of the north berth to complete the marine element of the terminal upgrade works. 

Despite a number of difficulties early in the works, Graham Construction have worked around the clock to ensure the berthing dolphin would be complete ahead of the arrival of MV Finlaggan. 

The remaining terminal upgrades including new lighting, improved fuel and water systems and more car parking spaces, are due to be completed by summer 2011.
