Date of issue: Tuesday 20th September 2011
Mariners are advised that CMAL have appointed Gareloch Support Services Ltd (GSS) to carry out repair works to the pierhead piles and pier fendering at Brodick Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde.
The repair works will commence on Wednesday 21st September 2011 and are programmed to be complete by the end of November 2011.
The works consist primarily of concrete repairs to piles and of replacement/repairs to the fendering on the main pier. It is the intention that the works will be carried out predominantly from a work boat, utilising divers where necessary. All vessels and diving activities will be appropriately marked and lit.
GSS will undertake all works around the scheduled ferry services within the harbour area of the Brodick Ferry terminal. When not in use, the work boat will generally be moored within the inner harbour at Brodick.
At this time it is the intention to undertake the works as day shifts only throughout the duration of the project.
