CMAL have taken the precautionary step of closing the Old Pierhead section of the Gott Bay Pier, Tiree, to all vessels following an engineering inspection of the fendering.  The fendering is in dangerous condition and as a result the Old Pierhead area of the pier will be closed to all vessels until repairs can be undertaken.

Upon receipt of the full engineering report on the inspection, CMAL will be able to determine the best course of action to repair/replace the fendering to enable the pierhead to be re-opened at the earliest opportunity.
